Where your old mattress goes
We take mattresses to recycling operations that break them down into parts — steel springs to scrap, foam and fiber reprocessed, wood recovered. A single mattress can be almost entirely recycled, which keeps a bulky item out of the landfill.
Mattresses that are soiled, wet, or infested can’t be recycled and, under Illinois rules, go to proper disposal instead. We handle that routing so you don’t have to figure out what’s allowed.
